As London’s largest provider of international residencies, Delfina Foundations creates opportunities for emerging and established artists, curators, collectors and writers from around the world to pursue artistic research and development and engage in dialogue with co-residents as well as the public and other practitioners in the city and beyond.
Located around the corner from Buckingham Palace, Delfina Foundation is located in two adjoined Edwardian houses, which hold exhibition and events spaces, the foundation’s offices, as well as accommodation for eight residents, with shared bathrooms, kitchen and living space. Selected through open calls and nominations, to date, Delfina Foundation has hosted over 300 residents. These residents have gone on to make a significant impact on local and global art scenes.
Alongside residencies, Delfina Foundation presents regular exhibitions and a dynamic events programme, including talks, screenings, performances and occasional open studios. Public programmes are often curated around reoccurring seasonal themes, which have included The Politics of Food, The Public Domain, Performance as Process, and Collecting as Practice, providing a platform the showcase in-process and completed projects by current and former residents as well as invited guests.
